Make a New Watchlist! 5 of Our Favorite Web Series This Week

We bring to you 5 new additions for your web series if you haven’t already. It is the era of mini web series, because in the fast-moving world seldom do we find the chance to sit back and enjoy 7-8 season-long series. People like everything on the go these days, be it fast food or fast entertainment. So while we enjoyed some of the mini web series we thought it would be nice to share them with you. 

 

1.    Smoke 

Directed by Neel Guha.

 

The crime series is set in Goa revolving mostly around the life of a drug lord, Moshe.The side characters are an integral part of his life like his right hand played by Jim Sarbh, or his mistress Kalki or his wife, Mandira Bedi.

 

The series does justice to the dark criminal aesthetic in demand these days, with graphic details and blood and every hand in the series. There are many twists and turns that await you.  A must-watch if you are craving some crime thriller to watch. You can watch this series for free online on Mzaalo. 

2.          Flip

Directed by Bejoy Nambiar 

 

The series contains 4 short stories with different episodes and a huge cast. The series is set in the dystopian future, showing 4 stories completely on the flip side.  

 

The first episode is like the game of fugitive, where people run or kill to survive, the next episode Bully is about a man who has given up on life and later decides to unleash his dark side out when he suspects his wife, a big twist awaits you in the story. The third episode Massage- is about a couple madly in love, waiting to tie the knot, as they have a secret to hide,  but everything changes with just a message!

 

The next and the last episode is Happy Birthday, in which a deadly curse follows a family, a curse that surprises the family later. Watch this on Mzaalo to find out what happens that changes their lives forever. 

3.           Twisted tales

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh

 

Twisted tales were released as a prequel to the mind-numbing movie of Radhika Apte- Phobia.  The series is an amalgamation of short stories presented by Radhika Apte.  The stories are really short but spine-chilling horror. The first story is called The Night where we see a small quarrel between a couple when the wife goes to sleep and wakes up the next day she is shocked to death at what she sees in front of her. 

 

The next story is The Lantern- a little girl is playing with her father, when he asks her if she misses her mother ( as she is no longer with them) she replies with something that numbs him. 

The last story is of a lecherous Watchman who does not have good intentions about one of the tenants in his building and ends up getting good karma the very bad way. You can watch this series online for free on Mzaalo.
