1.  Click

By Asha Dhingra.

The story goes as such, the setting is of the living room and the wife is going through the pictures of their trip while the husband is on the balcony. The day seems normal going by slowly, but a small scuffle ensues between the couple as the husband refuses to show some of the pictures to the wife.

The story will not let you guess its genre till the last 5-6 minutes, this is the asset that makes any thriller/horror worth watching. The story will not make you scared in the sense of jumpscares but it will make you scared of going to the washroom alone at night. The story is very well written and you should definitely watch it.

2.          The city and a girl

Directed by: Pratha Sarathi Manna

The story is about a small-town girl in a big city, her story is such that she is a travel show host going around the city, hopping on different locations and telling the audience about different festivals, food, and streets. The girl is not well acquainted with the fast pace. We see her asking people questions like “what makes you happy?” but later in the story, she makes a discovery of what makes her happy.

The story is a feel-good watch, romanticizing one’s life in a good and essential way. The story is beautifully directed as it takes us through the festival of Durga Pooja and the life of the girl in the city. The shots are quite metaphorical as we see different idols of Maa Durga and our main lead going through her ups and downs. A must-watch to celebrate gratitude towards life.

3.          Pakhi

Directed by: Dipankar Jain

The story is set in a normal household centered around two sisters, we get to know that one of the sisters is about to get married and the other one does not look so happy. The sister continuously hears taunts from their parents about the way they live and think, showing the misogyny and patriarchy that resides in most of the households.

In the background we hear of a secret poet - Pakhi whose poems are making people crazy and everyone is keen to find out who it is.  Amidst the chaos that is about to happen in the family because the elder sister refuses to marry, a surprise leaves everyone with a lesson and a shock.

Poetry makes life better and easier, a must-watch beautiful short story.

4.          Podarok

We might have seen many stories showing a good relationship between Father and son. But, this movie is something we have never seen before.

The story is not about what is right or wrong but about what you will do as a parent and what you can do without thinking about society.

The story is about a father who is worried for his son (who does not have the ability to walk) as he is turning 21, Now the father does something that any parent would not consider for their child.

We would not want to spoil the beautiful story for you but the story might leave you in tears- a must-watch beautifully written and directed movie.

You can watch all these stories on the Mzaalo app, Download Mzaalo- the best free app for moviesand series for your Android or iOs today.
